My weekend began with babysitting Lauren and Lindsey overnight so Leah and Larry could celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary. It was a fun night, and the girls slept all night long.
Then I dog sat, Phoebe and Buddy. They were great dogs who slept all weekend, and Buddy was my friend who followed me where ever I went. All-in-all it was a nice weekend full of watching movies, learning how to work the wii-fit, quality fb time, and buying a new phone!!
I watched Lauren and Lindsey this morning, and Lauren was absolutely hilarious with the things she was saying.
- "Lissa lets play catch," Lauren. "OK, Lauren" ME. Then she throws a Rolly Polly Bug at me. Lauren thought it was a great idea to throw the bugs around in the air. Those poor bugs.
- "Where's your belly button," Lauren. Then I pointed to where my belly button is. "Can I see it," Lauren? "OK, sure" Me. "It's beautiful," Lauren. Then she runs off to play in her room.
- "I need my watch," Lauren. "OK, lets put it on," Me. "Can you put my Fairy Wings on because I need to go to work," Lauren. "You need your Dora Watch and Fairy Wings to go to work," Me? I tried to ask her where she was planning on going to work, but she said "outside."
It's official I have one class on Monday night before I finished my first year of graduate school. This has been an exciting year ending with my completion of 19 hours. I can honestly say my first semester was spent working and not taking a ton of classes (I didn't thoroughly enjoy as much as I should)! Some of the highlights from last year include teaching Lindsey wear her nose, ears, head, and mouth are and how to say them. Also, teaching Lauren how to spell her name which definitely took longer than I planned.
This semester has been packed full of greatness including 12 hours in grad school. I had several presentations, projects, tests, and counseling sessions. Other major highlights from this semester included Lindsey learning how to say my name (Yippee), Lauren saying I love you (adorable), Olivia throwing fits when her mom came to pick her up in the nursery (awesome), serving on retreat committee (Blessing), and celebrating Allison's 24th birthday (fun), and showing some of the ladies at Grace that college girls bring fun with us wherever we go (incredible)!!!!
This summer I am planning on taking 13 hours, and I think that I have lost my mind. My schedule is still not set because I am taking about postponing graduation by a semester so I can take extra classes. The problem is that two of the classes I need to graduate are full, and my prayer is that everything works out.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
